Chapstick Ultra Sun Zone SPF 30

The other day i went shopping to buy for necessities (yes..its necessities..hehe) because ill be going somewhere at the end of this month so i have to make sure i have my toiletries bag complete. Since im gonna be gone for 5 days or so, i wanna make sure that i have everything packed. I hate it when i go somewhere & i miss out one product that i consider as a necessity.

Dental Hygiene - check
Hair Care - check
Body Care - check
Toiletries - check
Face Creams - check
Sunblock - check

I have everything on my grocery cart & im about to pay for everything when i passed by the lip balm section & i saw this product. Actually i still have the Blistex Medicated Berry Balm which has SPF15, but when i saw this with the whopping SPF30, i knew that i just had to add this to my cart.

So i paid for it...went home & arranged everything on my toiletries bag (it's separate from my kikay kit). I was about to just put this inside the bag without opening it, but something held me back & made me open it.

It's colorless,as expected, but what i like about it is the smell of it. As you can see, it says that it's Lemon Lime. It smells a lot like Lifesavers! I can't even remember when was the last time i ate one & it just made me remember of me as kid, growing up together with my favorite candy...eating it together with my cousin, going to the grocery together with mom while i go traipsing around the candy section looking at the packets of Lifesavers....How i miss being a kid!

Anyway, just like a regular chapstick, just glide it on your lips to lock in the moisture, which means prior to application you have to make sure that your lips doesn't have to be too dry. I always wet my lips first before i put in any form of 'sealant' (i call this products as sealants) to make sure that its hydrated enough. It does its job...plus the sun protection makes this as a product that i will most likely have for the summer.

The only thing that would make this as one of my 'everyday lip product' would be if its pigmented enough like the Nivea Lip Care products. Im not actually a Chapstick fan, i prefer Nivea (i use Nivea Strawberry everyday).

Though for the price that i pay which i think is Php 80 (less than $2), & im getting an SPF30 lip product, its not bad, right? Plus the fact that everytime i put it on i remember Lifesavers...its really not a bad deal...

So for those who like Chapstick, make sure that you get this one especially now that the weather is pretty erratic.

@ nikki
yep...i was surprised too!
SPF30..that's like a lotion already so i figured it would be good as lip protection

@ chrissy
i agree...often times we forget that we have to protect our lips too...which is a no-no..so this would be good to do the job..

@ catmare
good for you...SPF30...im pretty sure our lips would be protected from the sun's harsh rays...so YAY for this!

Love chapstick. It's a very simple product but it works! The spf30 is a godsend as well especially during summer. Thanks for the review.
