Cleaning brushes is just as important as to using them...
Today i was out in our backyard & had a busy morning bathing our dogs...had a fun time talking to both of them while i clean them... XD & of course i took a bath then saw that some of my brushes are dirty & decided to clean it. Im pretty sure all you ladies have your own way on how you clean them. Here's how i clean mine:
First - I gather everything that i need on a big wide basket, so to avoid any brushes from falling on the floor. I use Johnson's baby milk bath in cleaning my brushes (i used the ordinary one before, but since i like the smell of this, so i use this one now), some cotton pads & extra virgin olive oil. I'll explain why i use olive oil later...

Then i put olive oil on a cotton pad...

because i use it to remove the gel liner & lip colors stuck on my brushes.... (thanks to Koren of Youtube for this tip)

After its done, then its time to do the cleaning... I'll clean my EM Long Handled Kabuki first. Run it under water to wet it...No need to use hot water, you don't want to risk the ferrule expanding & loosening the hairs of your brush. Just the usual tap water would do.

Then put a dollop of baby bath on my hands, then start to swipe the brush back & forth...

Just swipe it back & forth...don't swirl it. You can swirl smaller brushes like the eye makeup brushes, but not the big one. You don't want them to shed & tug from the glue that's holding them together.

If you squeeze it, you'll see how dirty is. I rinse it a little then repeat what i did just until that when i squeeze it, i can't see any brownish color anymore.

Then rinse it...look at that...clean brush!
Ok, one down...a couple more to go... Basically i just repeat what i did to clean all of my brushes...

I just put a baby bath on a clean square lid then try to get them wet (just so that you will have an idea). Though i use my hands to clean them one by one because i want to feel them...make sure that i get all the itty gritty part of them clean. See that brush with an orange bristle, that's what i used to apply concealer & you can see how dirty it is...
so after all he cleaning comes the drying part....I don't do anything on them. I just dump...hehe..put them inside a CD holder that got towel on the bottom to absorb the water.

Though here, i just put tissue paper, but that will do for the time being. After a couple of minutes..5 minutes at the most... i put them atop a rolled kitchen towel to rest until they completely dry...

And that is how i clean my brushes.....
