Simple Life...

Hello,lovies!

I know i haven't been around for quite sometime now. I just have a lot of things to deal with recently. Isn't that sad? Just when i realized that i like blogging, then in comes life throwing you some things that needed catching & prioritizing which leads me to go on hiatus indefinitely once again...
*sigh*

Anyway, I just want to let you know that im still alive... just not blogging. hehehe
Thank you for the support that i still get on my email. Readers asking me about my whereabouts & just simply asking me about some concerns. You don't know how much you all are the fuel keeping me from finding the time to still think about my tiny space online....

Ok, enough about the drama, time for the real deal.
A lot has happened recently, one of the major change is that im not a goat-lover. hahaha!
My dad bought a pregnant mama goat a month ago & gave birth to 3 lovely kids. I'm not sure but i heard that it's not common for a goat to have 2 kids, how much more 3?! Whether that's true or not, one thing that is sure is that Mama goat hates her youngest kid, which we call as Cookie. She just simply distanced herself from her youngest kid like she was just a complete stranger. It was just heartbreaking!

So we are bottle-feeding her because we don't have a choice.
Here is my mum trying to feed Cookie, the tiny brown goat, while her siblings, Milk & Cream are just waiting for someone to give them some leaves to munch on.

I sometimes takes Cookie home with me specially when the weather is pretty bad because she doesn't have anyone to cuddle with. She is specially hyper during evening time.

I'm so behind any beauty-related news because of this but i don't mind. I like taking care of them. They are our extended family!

Speaking of family, we have another addition to our growing family.... meet Butter.

We just got her last night but she is bundle of fur & energy.
Poor doggie was so tired & dizzy from her transport she ended up throwing up. When she got here (she was brought to us by her owner) she was just feeling bad she ended up sleeping right after i cleaned her.

We have been so blessed with these animals & they are bringing joy to our lives. So pardon me if i don't get to blog. But nevertheless, i will be sharing one product line that i think is worth checking out. You have to wait for it after a week. I have been road testing it for quite sometime already & i love it!

So, i guess that would be a short update on my blog for now.

Fresh New Start~

I have been punished by the blogga fairy...
I had neglected my blog for a while hence she had given me a slight brush-off.

I lost all my files... those i-wanna-blog-about-this-pictures that i can't seem to find the time to blog about.I sure as hell was very pissed off when i found out that all my files have been sent to the land of the unknowns. It was my fault anyway. I have been feeling uninspired to blog but i keep on taking pictures so they pile up in 10+ folders (im serious when i said that it was somewhere at around 10+) that i eventually got lazy to even dig through my pile to start blogging.

When i found out that all my files were corrupted i was just shocked but it wasn't really that big of a deal for me. But as it sinks in, i just realized how lazy i've become & regret had started to set in. I had been thinking of the swatches the made, the pictures of the products that i wanna talk about, the food pics that i wanna share with you all, the places that i've been with... but all of that will just not happen anymore.

There's no one to blame except my self though for letting that happen.
I thought that i lost all my blogging passion but this event had me thinking...
Do i want to really just stop & let all the things that i've worked hard for be left like that?
Do i really want to lose the trust that i've built from my sponsors & my readers as well?
Do i really want to be totally forgotten when all of you had been so kind showing your support by email, fb messages,comments,etc?
I don't think it's even fair to just leave you all hanging since i've been receiving a lot of "how-are-you?" mails. I wanna thank you all for still emailing me. I appreciate it.
It seems like i've been so ungrateful to you all & i'm really sorry about that.

This time, i'm promising that i'll be picking up where i left off little by little.

Taking small things at a time. Sharing the things that i feel should be shared. It's only now that i realized the enormity of how blogging had actually affected my life. I guess it was like a do or die situation. I was really at the point where i could just stop it since i lost everything but ta the same time, i realized that i love blogging & i guess i just needed that wake-up call from the blogga fairy for me to really see where i'm headed at.

Oh well,enough of that...
I'll be walking along the rocky road of blogging once more.
I want to take it like how i did when i started it.

Thank you for being with me through thick & thin.
I hope that you would still continue to support me even though i've been away for so long.

I promise to this day on to not let myself be riddled with excuses when it comes to blogging but also not to be pressured into anything that i feel you would not benefit from.

Updated Traincase

I'm really forcing myself to blog these days but to no avail so i thought that i'll share some small things here & there to get the ball rolling.

I want to start first with the project that i did 2 days ago.
I applied a full decal on my traincase so instead of it looking like a magician's box, now it looks so much cuter & girly (but not too overly girly,mind you).

Ta dah~!

I guess i can say that i'm sick & tired of my black traincase. I'm actually just thankful that i got the simplest traincase with the faux leather so i can easily stick the sheet on. Now,i can change the look of my traincase whenever i want to.

Not that i want to do it again though.
It's so freakin hard to snip the edges of it. It took me hours just trying to make sure that it looks neat.

It may not look obvious here but it's not as perfect as i want to, but it's manageable somehow.
I choose lilac as my main color because my room is actually blue right now & i think that lilac would be a better color to compliment the shade of blue that i have as opposed to pink.

Now my computer table is a match to my traincase too!

Actually i bought the decal for my computer table... hehe
Since i had more left to cover something else,i saw my traincase so i decided to just put it to good use.
Yay for my traincase looking all cute now!

If you want to get the same decal that i got, you can check out Japan Home Center for their sticker sheets.
I got mine for P88 a sheet... a little more than $2. I got so much more with my $2!
Though it takes some work applying it but you could definitely do it!

Model for a day

I have been almost nonexistent the past couple of weeks... no, make that for the past couple of months. I have been neglecting & neglecting my blog & the main reason for that is because i do not have a decent camera. Camera + Blogging always goes together. One cannot exist without the other imo.

But now that i have a new camera, i sure will be able to update my blog every now & then. Though im sure that there will be an occasional bouts of laziness but i think that i will be able to manage blogging a lot easier now since i can easily upload my pics via wifi. Yay to technology! hahaha

It's been a while since my face graced my blog so i guess it won't be too much to share how i look like every now & then. hehehe You'll be seeing my face every once in a while now since i can go back to beauty blogging already. It's been a while since i wore make-up & yesterday, i did it. One of my closest friend volunteered to be my photographer for a day. So i'll be sharing some of the pics that she took. Forgive me for my vanity. hahaha!

The only thing that lasted was my eye make-up & brows. haha!
My foundation didn't last because it was hot & i was sweating profusely with too much walking. But i somehow think that the walk did me good.hahaha!

Originally,i wasn't planning on wearing any eye make-up.I only put it because i applied too much primer & my lids look whitish already. Good thing that i did wore eye make-up at least!

It's during this time that i can totally say & feel that i have a really long hair.

Though i have another pic that really shows the full length of my hair but i think you'll be sick & tired of it already so i'll just be saving it for some other time for point of comparison. hehe

On a side note, i have been on a diet ever since mid-last year because of health reasons. I think i mentioned that one before. I didn't really obsessed with my weight. As long as i feel lighter then i'm totally fine with it. In fact, I haven't weighted myself since the last time i went to my doc. A lot of people have been saying that i seem to have lost weight which never fails to amuse me.. yes, amuse me. If i'll take it seriously i thin i'll start obsessing on it though.

I think this picture can safely tell me that somehow i did lost some weight since i can now see my jaw. hahaha!
I have tried taking side views but i haven't even seen a glimpse of jaw but now i can somehow see it. lol!

You can't have a photo taking session without the usual portrait shot,no?
My photographer did a great job on me. I think i look hundred times prettier already. hahaha!

On a beauty note...
I'm sure you must've seen pictures of some hollywood celebrities that have had the powder mishaps.
We all know that the culprit of that is the MUFE HD Powder. I only have the Eshiko HD Powder & i guess it's not exempted to it.

See that?
But my face doesn't have that powdery look, i guess.
The key to using HD powder is just to apply it sparingly. I would not use HD powder like how you ordinarily use a regular powder or else it would be disastrous!

random nail arts the past couple of weeks~

I've been seriously trying to get my blogging mojo back. 

In fact, I've been working at it for days now. I have been staring at my draft for like a week now but for some reason i just can't seem to write anything worth reading,i guess.

*sigh*

I know i've been on several blogging hiatus last year & i would want to at least get on back to blogging (maybe not actively) as much as i can. I just can't seem to find a way on how to pick up where i left off.

Oh, my....

I'm sure my fellow bloggers know this so tell me how you, guys, get on blogging after feeling this "blogging block"?

It's like the feeling of wanting to do something & being in the mood of actually doing it are 2 completely different things now. I feel so alien writing things.. lol!

Anyway,i figured that i'll just share with you some of the nail arts that i had done the past couple of weeks.

This one is a personal favorite~

I love the song Dango Daikazoku. It's just so cute!
So when we had the song-inspired nail art on our group,i knew that i just had to do this.
It's just so adorable! Love this to bits. hihihihi

Then to contradict the cuteness of the dango nail art, this goth nail art is perfect for that.

I'm not really into these types but i guess somehow it is a refreshing change from the usual girly nail arts that i love to do so much. hehehe!

Then another sparkly & flirty nail art that i did last week...

I did this after the goth nail art.
I just feel like i wanna see something girly & fun after the goth nail art & this was perfect!
The glitters on this nail art cheered me up instantly. hehehe

Last but not the least...
My nail art up until this morning

I just had to use Floam once more.. but this time without using glue as base coat.

And boy,was that stupid or just plain dumb? hehehe

It was the hardest glitter polish that i had ever had the experience to remove. Now i know why Floam's rating wasn't 5 star as i thought it should have been.

If you ever own this & would want to sport this polish, just do yourself a favor & use glue as base coat. It'll save you a hell of a time, polish remover & effort when you wanted to remove it already.

Well, let's hope that somehow i'll be able to go back to blogging tomorrow.

starting my Acne Diary~

I'm planning to start a mini series on my blog about acne mainly since most of my new readers are being diverted to my blog because of acne-related stuff. I have received tons of messages & emails from my readers asking me about my blog posts. I'm really stoked every time i read them because it makes me feel like a part of each & everyone.

It's quite overwhelming to answer everyone so i am hoping that this series of posts that i'll be doing for the next couple of weeks would be helpful. I am of course standing up to what i said about getting to know your skin. I learned it the hard way to always make sure that you go with the basics & do not let others dictate what you thought is best for you.

I am glad to be included in a blog campaign to promote awareness about acne. I am hoping that through this,i'll be able to help you, all, in dealing with your acne problems.

Acne FAQs

Since most of my readers asked me questions about common things so i decided to do a FAQ to address the common acne concerns that i keep on receiving.

I'll be making a little widget later so that i could direct readers on this post.

1. Help! My acne is really bad. What products can i use?

-I have experienced acne too & i know how it makes a person feel so low about his/her skin. I could say "been there,done that" already but it was a very tough journey,indeed. If you have read my blog from the start (which i very much doubt.hehe) i have clear skin to start with, so my "acne days" are well-documented here. You can back read some of my early posts to see what are the products that i have tried & my thoughts about them.

Now, one thing that i wanted to point out first is that the time when i had my acne, i'm already an adult. Suffice to say, what i dealt is adult acne. I'm not a pro but i know that there's a difference between young skin to developed skin already.

So, i keep on repeating again & again that what works for me might not work for you. Use products at your own discretion.

2. Ok, i've been warned, but what products worked for you?
-I will proudly say that Orange Peel & L-Glutathione Soap was the best among the lot of soaps that i have tried so far. My pictures can justify this.

I've been acne-free ever since & have been loyal to it ever since. I have tried other soaps for a while but i keep coming back to this just because it works so well on my skin.

I have been using that until i tested out Hortaleza MD Illuminous Soap for a month & i'm quite happy with the result that i achieved with it.

So for now, i will say that these 2 soaps are the ones that had worked for me. I have just newly used the illuminous soap but i have been using the orange peel soap for years already. I can vouch for the orange peel soap though i will admit that

3. How about skin lightening soaps? What do you recommend?
-I have tried lots of skin lightening products not really because i wanna bleach my skin or go 10 shades lighter than my natural skintone but i wanted to get rid of the dark spots/blemishes during the time that i had my acne.
Kojie-san has been the most popular post that i ever wrote. i would have to say that kojie-san has been the soap that lightened my skin the fastest compare to others.

4. Have you tried going to facial clinics to try any facial procedure to address your acne?
-No, i haven't & i probably won't.

5. Do you use any creams/serums/essences as a part of your skincare routine during your acne days?
-I did use some but nothing that really made a difference. Again, on my post about "how i broke the breakout cycle", i pointed out that piling on products just makes my acne worse. I am still sticking with that. I try not to put on anything on my face if i can get away with it.

I know that most people will just say that i have to slather on moisturizers or whatever because it is the SOP but i don't care. I am listening to what my skin says & if it says that it hates this or that, then i don't use it.

Since i'll still be using tags for my posts i decided to just stick with 1 tag as i count my polishes but then thought of just inviting people to also do the same. Weekend Affair~

It's been a while since i did something fun...
I have been cooped up in my room for a long time just working that i have been so stressed out. This weekend i was able to go all out & do some shopping. Retail Therapy at its finest! hahaha!

Nah,i'll not do a haul post today but just to do some heads up for the things that made me giddy. First up is when i get to meet a very dear friend & blog reader last Saturday. I went to the Hero Face-off event just to see Angel.

We've been talking for like time immortal so i was so looking forward for the meet-up. She cosplayed as Enma Ai of Jigoku Shoujo. She looks beautiful,no?

I'm so glad that u was able to meet you,sweetie!
Hope we could meet up again.

Last Friday, i dropped by Shiseido to get my Summer Skincare Set...

I was able to get the prize that i got from StrawberryNET too!

Tsk!
I need to have my camera checked & cleaned already so pardon me for those specks of dirt. I don't have a freakin' idea how it came to be this dirty since it's always on my bag.

Another thing that made me really happy was because i was able to purchase a book from one of my favorite authors! It was so good i finished it for less than a day! If you love romance novels, you have to check out Bertrice Small!

Why is it so hard to look for books from her& Kathleen Woodiwiss here in the Philippines?
That's another thing that most of you don't know about me. I do love to read Romance Novels so much that i am really running out of space already. That's the reason why i am already thinking of purchasing Kindle.

My Zalora Wishlist~

Y'all know that i am not into fashion.
I'm into cosmetics & nails but not really into clothes & accessories. But that doesn't mean that i do not appreciate beautiful things. One of the main reason i guess why i'm not that into fashion is that being a plus-size lady, my choice is limited.

Oh, i know that now we have a lot of shops/brands that cater to plus-size woman. But for some reason i find that the products that they offer are just not into my taste. I'm more into casual style yet the ones that i mostly see  if not too elegant, they would have too casual it looks drab already.

When i saw Zalora's ad, i was mighty curious with it. I checked out their website & goodness gracious! They have big sizes especially on their shoe selection!
*faints*
Finally! A website that doesn't discriminate on big people! (LOL!just joking)

Zalora got you covered from head to toe! I know that Zalora offers a lot of products from clothing to home & living but the things that really caught my attention are their shoes & accessories.

I'll tell you my wishlist after spending countless of hours browsing their site.

Let's start from the head going to the feet selection.
Starting from the eyes...

ELLE SHADES

I always make sure that i protect my eyes no matter what i do.
I use computer 80% of the time that's why i just had to use computer glasses. I also got my eye lubricant so when i feel that my eyes are dry & itchy i can put on the lost moisture. when going out, i make sure that i never forget my shades. I always make sure that one of the thing i check is if it has UV protection.

This shade not only looks stylish but it offers 100% UV Protection!
Rectangular frames suit my round face better than rounded ones. It gives my face an edgier look.

Then for my ears.
Yes, it's a must for me!

BREO DE JANEIRO HEADPHONES 

"Music makes the people come together".... as what Madonna says. (you'll know what generation i came from if you can guess what song this is instantly!haha). Plus, music makes me feel good. So music is an essential part of me. You will see me walking on the mall, or anywhere i go, with a headset/earphone on my ears 80% of the time. So this is a must for me.

Look at that cute yet sturdy design. It just looks so comfortable!
I can already picture myself with this headphone on my ears for a long time. haha!

Then a bag to make sure that i have all my stuff in.

This is when it got a bit tough. I choose my bag not for the style or color, but i actually choose my bag based on its materials. I rarely buy bags. II can't even remember the lats time i bought one just because looking for the perfect bag is very hard. 

The first thing that i look for is a wide strap. 

I'm not talking about those 1-inch wide (is that even wide?lol!) i'm talking about something that's at least 2-inches wide! Why? I put a lot of things on my bag & lugging them for a long time takes a toll on my shoulder. I have to have a sling bag that has a wide strap to make sure that doesn't put a strain on it. If you're like me, make sure that one of the factor in your bag buying is this. I don't see a point in buying a pretty bag that you won't even use just because you're not comfortable in using it,ne?

Next, is it roomy enough for my stuff?

Again, i carry a lot of things so i have to make sure that it is big. Then, finally, the materials it's made of.

Those are the things that i consider.

Bag-buying is not something that you can just do half-heartedly. You have to not only consider the style or price, but other things as well.

Finally, the shoes!

I have big feet. Looking for a pair of shoes that would cradle my feet & give it that snug fit is like looking for a needle on a haystack! That's how difficult it is. I may not be much into clothes but i want to make sure my feet is well-taken care of. I walk on hours all over the mall looking for a good pair.

That's why when i go to certain shops first thing that i would ask the sales associates is "Do have a size 11?" (yeah, i know!it's big!what can i do? im a big lady!haha) & if they said "wala po" then i won't bother looking at their goods because i'll just end up turning pea-green with envy. 

So, here comes, Zalora, with a great selection for us, ladies!

Who says that you have to sacrifice comfort over style? This one looks chic enough for work & a casual stroll in the mall.

I'm all for comfort so this one is calling my name!

Doesn't this wedge sandal looks simply dee-vine?!
I can't don stilletos but i can get away with wedges. This one looks so chic & elegant. I think it looks great in whatever kind of get-up that you will be putting on!

I'm not stylish but i appreciate beautiful things & these things amongst all the other things that i have seen on their website are beautiful!

Meet my Sassy (lots of cat picture!) + another nail art

I was supposed to take a picture of my nail art against the white fur of our cat but she moved facing the camera so i got her face instead. haha!

So meet our green & blue-eyed cat Sassy~

More pictures at the end of this post. I just want to make sure that i would at least be able to mention my nail art before i go gushing about our cat. hahaha!

I just did my nails again just because i'm having a grand time taking advantage of my long nails. I just feel like having a really colorful nail art so i came up with this.

Though i'm in doubt about the yellow flowers though. I think i should have used a stronger color,no?
Anyway, i already removed this nail art. I am already thinking of another nail art. haha!

This is the base color that i used. Looks really pretty,ne?
I never did like orange but this one is something that i could get away with.

I love how it doesn't look flat.
The shimmer on this polish gave it that dimension.

On with the cat story....
We picked Sassy last January 23 under a car in front of my parent's house. She was mewing endlessly & my brother & I thought of adopting her right there & then. That was also days after our dog, Lassie, just died. We all are feeling sad when Lassie passed away. That's why my mom decided on the name "Sassy". It's also a way to remind us of Lassie.

Anyway, she was really tiny & she doesn't know how to drink milk on a saucer yet. Since it was an emergency i tried looking for a makeshift milk bottle that is tiny enough to fit her small mouth. I saw my cuticle oil bottle so i immediately got rid of the oil & tried my best to get rid of every lingering oil. As soon as she got the hang of using it, she latched on it & drank all the milk.

Poor kitty, she was so hungry.

This was how she looked like after feeding. See the traces of milk on her mouth? Kawaii,de sho?

I'm not strangling her,mind you. I just had to wrap her on a towel because she kept on clawing my hand when she smells the scent of milk.

Look at how cute her face is!

She loves to snuggle in between sheets because it keeps her warm. Kittens need warmth most of all.
We all did our research about how to raise kittens because we were dog-people. We learned how to make her pee & poop, train her how to use the litter & groom herself too.

She loves drinking milk on the bottle!

I can't remember when this picture was taken but i guess it's somewhere between 1-2mos. I call it the "Monapusa". Pusa is the tagalog word for cat. Just like a painting,huh? haha!

She now has her own bottle & she is still drinking her milk with it.

Now, she is 3 months old & she knows how to eat. She fights with other cat, though we were always there to save her, of course. hahaha!

She is not a kitten anymore because she is really big already. LOL!
The first time that she got her collar she was so curious with it because it has a bell & it tinkles every time she moves but it grew on her. She loves her collar now.

She somewhat acts like a dog too. She greets me 'good morning' & her ears perk up every time she hears our gate opens. She loves to sleep the most & she gets grumpy when she is disturbed. haha!

Charlie sometimes get jealous over Sassy so they end up fighting too. Sassy can stand her ground & Charlie most often ends up the losing party. My Charlie is a real gentleman...i mean gentledog. haha!
Though they do sleep together sometime, like so.

what have i been doing?

I haven't been that active in blogging lately & let me tell you that i am really feeling guilty. I am just so thankful that you have still been checking my blog even if i don't update regularly. I'll make it up to you by letting you know about things that have been going on with me for the past couple of weeks.

I don't even know where to start...?
Uhhhhmmm... i guess i'll start with the recent update.

I haven't really done a lot of nail art post lately because i have been so busy & my nails are like the last thing that on my mind. But luckily, last weekend i was able to do a nail art (finally!) & here is my current mani.

I'll make a tutorial on this design within this week. And no, this is not a decal, i did this freehand so i'm sure you can also do this. I'll take single tutorial pictures right after this post. hehe

Then some things/thoughts that i want to share....
I have bought this finishing powder & let me tell you that i love love love this finishing powder!

I'll make a separate post about this but i love how this photographs really really well!
I'm sure you know what side has make-up on,right?

I decided to just do half of my face because i want to really see the difference. Oh, i use San San's Matte Liquid foundation underneath & i am liking it too! It almost looks natural on me,right?

This is how it looks on broad daylight.
I know that the color of my face looks different with my neck because my neck is actually darker but since this is just a test, i didn't bother applying it on my neck. i also didn't apply any concealer & i'm glad that this combo was able to hide my small imperfections quite nicely.

Then i finally succumb to the call of the brush guard...

I have been really curious about this one but let me tell you that i don't think that it really a must for me. It just makes drying of brushes really long! I guess that this is better for storage but not really for drying. Anyway, that's just my opinion.

Then last week, i was really surprised when the mailman dropped by in the evening to make a delivery!
It came from my very revered "ate"!

I wasn't really expecting anything & i was really shocked when the mailman dropped a big box on my arms. I haven't really got any packages from Japan yet but now i know that it would be delivered straight to my house so another door has opened for me.

Napajapan, i'm gonna be your future customer! hahaha

Anyway, i was so surprised with everything that i got!

I only have soft copies of japanese nail art magazines from nail up, nail max & nail venus so owning one is definitely exhilarating!

Did you know that you can do very detailed nail art design using a nail art fountain pen?

I tried it & it was so easy to use! I made the rose design at left part.

Last thing that i wanna share, i have been looking for a good pair of flats that would fit my big feet & i'm really glad that i was able to find one that fits my feet snugly & comfortably.

I'm just bummed out that Kimi is not available everywhere.
