Weekend Affair~

It's been a while since i did something fun...
I have been cooped up in my room for a long time just working that i have been so stressed out. This weekend i was able to go all out & do some shopping. Retail Therapy at its finest! hahaha!

Nah,i'll not do a haul post today but just to do some heads up for the things that made me giddy. First up is when i get to meet a very dear friend & blog reader last Saturday. I went to the Hero Face-off event just to see Angel.

We've been talking for like time immortal so i was so looking forward for the meet-up. She cosplayed as Enma Ai of Jigoku Shoujo. She looks beautiful,no?

I'm so glad that u was able to meet you, sweetie!
Hope we could meet up again.

Last Friday, i dropped by Shiseido to get my Summer Skincare Set...

I was able to get the prize that i got from StrawberryNET too!

Tsk!
I need to have my camera checked & cleaned already so pardon me for those specks of dirt. I don't have a freakin' idea how it came to be this dirty since it's always on my bag.

Another thing that made me really happy was because i was able to purchase a book from one of my favorite authors! It was so good i finished it for less than a day! If you love romance novels, you have to check out Bertrice Small!

Why is it so hard to look for books from her& Kathleen Woodiwiss here in the Philippines?
That's another thing that most of you don't know about me. I do love to read Romance Novels so much that i am really running out of space already. That's the reason why i am already thinking of purchasing Kindle.

Haha!
Maybe you're thinking "no polishes?"... lol!
I'll be posting polishes & nail arts for the next couple of weeks so just for now i'll keep this post polish-free!

Have a great week,ladies!

Updates + my radio guesting~!

This week has been pretty hectic but fun for me.
Let's start first with the news that i said that i would be telling you all about.
Of course, best news first..hehe

Since i have received tons of comments & inquiries about the products that i have used & reviewed, i decided to let my readers tell their experience on their own. I think that it would be nice if people could also read other people's opinion aside from mine.

Each of us have different reactions to different products. I'm telling my experience but it doesn't mean that it would be the same with you. So i figured that this would be a great chance for a reader interaction.

This is also a chance for people who have thought about blogging but is still undecided. As a guest blogger, you will have the power to decide what you will be writing about. I would just want you to have pictures to support your post.

If you are interested feel free to email me.
Don't worry, i don't bite so you don't need to be shy,ok?

Then another news for you, i joined a nail art contest in our Facebook group.
*sigh*
Good news, i was able to submit an entry!
Bad news, it wasn't the one that i really spent time making
TT_TT

Don't ask me what happened because i'm still annoyed about it. I'm just thankful that i was able to at least finish an entry hours before the courier arrived at our house.

This is my entry...

If you want to take a look at the other entries you can hop over to Thrizsha's blog HERE. I highly suggest that you really visit her blog because the entries are amazing!!!

I'm in awe of these ladies!
To come up with an entry like those.
Feel like mine was just something that i picked up in a dump site..ahaha!
But i'm really proud that i was able to finish that with just merely hours before the deadline & a lot more proud that i'm a member of this amazing group of talented nail artists!
Great job,girls!

Then last but not the least...
I was invited to be a guest on a radio show yesterday at a local AM station. It was definitely a first & it was really fun! Ms. Lorie, HBC's marketing communications manager, asked me 2 weeks ago if i would be willing to do a radio guesting & i readily said YES!

I was thinking that i would be a nervous wreck but luckily, everyone was so friendly that my initial nervousness just went poof! The topic was about nail art.. one of my favorite topic ever! haha!

I thank all my readers who supported me & also my FAB group!
They were so giddy with it... Love you all, ladies!
Thank you for all the things that i have learned from the group!

l to r: Friendly Nicki, Maren Jenny, HBC comm. manager, Ms Lorie, Allue manager, Ms MJ & yours truly

Haha!
Love this photo

Thanks for the chance, Ms Lorie! It was definitely a very memorable experience!
I also want to thank ms MJ & Ms Jenny who were really friendly. Thank you!
^_^

That pretty much took the first half of my week.
It's not yet over & this weekend im looking forward to other activities as well...

Again, feel free to email me if you want to be a guest blogger,ok?
Hope you all will have a great day/evening!

Weekend Affair: Let's get to know Vitapack

I've had a pretty eventful weekend & i am not complaining. In fact, i'd rather have a busy weekend than a very lazy & laid back one. I have been prepping up for my weekend events that i wasn't able to update my blog for a few days. Sorry about the lack of posts, hunnies.

Last friday, I was invited to a luncheon affair by the gorgeous Cathy Mapa to get to know Vitapack.

When i got to Inagiku, I was warmly greeted by everyone. I'm so honored to have met some of the top pinay beauty bloggers in town.

left to right:
EarthLiz , yours truly, Kira Mae, Mr. Arthur Bautista, Cathy Mapa & her cute daughter, Jheng, Shen & Martha

Everyone is so gorgeous & i feel like the ugly duckling... hahaha! LOL! But seriously, once you meet them you'll be awed by their beauty.

Mr. Arthur & Cathy

Mr Arthur is the owner of Everest Pacific, makers of Vitapack. We bombarded him with questions & he was able to provide use with very detailed answers. And because of that, i am sold to trying this out.

First off, I am not a user of health supplements.
The only supplement that i take is something that would help me sleep & i don't want to take in any kind capsules unless needed. But, Mr. Art, guaranteed that this is safe even for diabetics, like me, so i figured why not, right?

VITAPACK 3-IN-1 BEAUTY PACK  (Pink Box)

A specially formulation combination of three capsules for whitening, slimming and stronger immunity made from 100% natural plant ingredients and essential vitamins, available in an easy-to-carry sachet. Backed by years of research, it is the most convenient and economical way to a whiter, slimmer and healthier you which no single other product can provide. See results in as little as three weeks.

VITAPACK 3-IN-1 ENERGYBOOST PACK (Black Box)

A pack of three capsules to stay awake safely, improve memory and strengthen  immunity made from 100% natural plant ingredients and essential vitamins, available in an easy-to-carry sachet.

I know that a lot of you are quite wary in taking in oral supplements so i'll tell you what i honestly think about this after a couple more weeks.

Thanks for the invite, Cathy!
It was so fun being able to meet everyone & thank you so much for the freebie!
That is my very first item of that brand!
hahaha
XD

Next post is my make-up workshop~

Have a great Monday,ladies!

blogger meet-up + my weekend nails!

I was so happy yesterday that i finally get to meet my fellow pinay beauty bloggers!

Travelling to the meeting place is not an easy task since i'm living in the boondocks (LOL!)... took me 1 1/2 hrs! So i was doubly glad when i made it to the meeting place all in one piece... make it triple when Sis Pammy called me up asking me where we can meet so that she can accompany me in getting to the dining place. Thanks, Sis Pammy! I would have gotten lost if i was left "unattended" (parang bagahe lang no?-just like a baggage,huh?)..hahaha!

Sis Argie arranged the place for us, which is in Va Pensiero, in Gateway Mall in Araneta Center Cubao. It's such a thrill meeting these lovely ladies! They're so pretty they don't even need any make-up at all! *jealous mode*

clockwise starting from the left: me, Sis Argie, Sis Pammy, Sis Gale & Sis Crystal

Look at these two Crystals!

...literally they are crystals...crystal perfect skin & their names are Crystal too!
nakakainggit!
im jealous!
hahaha!

Sis Argie, i won't post the pic of the 3 of us together with Sis Pammy. Ikaw lang ang maganda e! hehehe

Anyway, it was great meeting & talking with all these beauties about make-up & all kikay stuff. I don't get to talk about make-up & kikay things with people around me here so it's a bit boring. It's a breathe of fresh air when i can get to listen & talk about the passion that all of us share.

Va Pensiero is very homey. It has this welcoming ambiance that will make you feel like you are just dining casually. I like it! The waitresses are accommodating & polite too!

Amidst all the conversations, picture-taking & menu-choosing (is there even such a word?!LOL) we managed to take our pick of the food amongst all the wonderful names they have on their list.

I got so engrossed with the company that i have that i forgot to take the names of the foods that we ordered... meh!

We also got 2 complimentary bread basket with dip. I'm not a fan of any oil-based dip though but the bread is soft & fluffy!

As what i said, i can't remember the names of the food that we had but then it didn't really made an impact on me... I might be biased but i think my Penne Carbonara is better than this..LOL! XD

This pasta dish is better than the one with the white sauce. It's just ok...or maybe it's because i ate this a bit cold already.

I think this pizza is the most delicious among the 3. It's a thin crust pizza but it's not too crunchy that you would have a hard time biting into it worrying that the crumbs would fall on you. I like how simple & tasty it is!

The price is not bad considering that we are in a group of 5 & the bill only amounted to Php 900. I have to say that if you are looking for an affordable restaurant to satisfy your curiosity you might want to give this a shot. As for me, i will not say that it's bad but the ambiance & how accommodating the waitresses are makes this a place that i can frequent at.

I'm not a fan of Italian dishes to start with. I can cook some to satisfy my Italian dish cravings once in a while but i guess i can't say that i;m a professional when it comes to judging what is an authentic Italian cuisine to what's not. I just know what taste good & what's not.

We just went around the mall a bit after eating... went to Rustan's to just take a look & i just have to take a look at Essences what shades of polishes they have. I was actually praying that they won't have Orly Space Cadet because i will be forced to buy 5 of them...yes, 5!

Before we entered Rustan's i said in a loud voice that no one will buy anything.. if 1 of us will buy something we have to buy 5 so that each of us have something in return (penalty, as what sis Pammy said)! So i was glad that there is no Space Cadet..haha!

I was the one who had to bid goodbye first because i was worried that i might not be able to trains. I have take 2 trains just to get home. Luckily, i was able to get on to the last train before the last ride!

It was a great dinner!
I will be looking forward for more fun times, ladies!
hehehe

By the way, this is my weekend nails.

I wasn't able to make a tutorial because my mum borrowed my camera the time that i made it but i will just be making a tutorial later on. It's sort of a blingy Argyle design if i may say so.

I had a great weekend... How about you?

It is already the start of the Holy Week as what we call it here in the Philippines.
For my fellow Filipinos, i wish that you would have a meaningful celebration of this holiday.

Have a great Monday!

upcoming nail post:summer scenes + meet up with my nail art group

Yes, it's summer scenes. I can already feel summer coming here in the Philippines!

which means not just 1 but 5 designs!
hahaha!

what was i thinking when i made my nails different from each other?! Well, actually this is my nail art contest entry..hehe

I used acrylic in this because when i did my last post, which is my spring-themed nail post, it just dawned on me how much i missed painting! What i really love about painting is how you are able to produce different colors by mixing 2 or three colors together. I admit that often times i find it hard to get the exact color of what i used in my previous works but i guess that's the challenge of painting.

I'll do a tutorial for all of them. Don't worry for it's easy to actually do it. The only thing that may be hard is blending out colors, you can use nail polish for these as well, it's just that acrylics are fast-dry so i can continue working without waiting for one layer to dry unlike using nail polish.

I did this last thursday but since my brother borrowed my camera because he went on a field trip so i wasn't able to do the step by step tutorial at that time, but it's ok. I know i can remake this.
^_~

I met with the members of our group a little while ago.

All of them are certified nail polish addicts! hahaha!
*ehem*
including me of course! I'm in the center of the pic so it means that i am also guilty! LOL

You don't think so?
Well, when Annie put out the nail polishes that she is selling we all squealed with delight!

Look at those stamping plates & fimo canes!

It was a very fun event for me, it's such a shame that i have to go home early because we have further engagement, but i'm sure that there will be a next time!

Well, i got myself the Del Sol Color Changing polish!

Dream come true for me~!
Then Annie also gave me free stencils! how fun!
Thanks, sis Annie!

Sis Thrizsha gave me my glow in the dark polish. I'm so gonna try it out! See the blue & green bottle? I also won her raffle! How fun!

I'll do a separate posts for the glow in the dark & del sol polish also for the things that i received from the event.

I had a great time,girls!
Until next meet up!

I'm really so excited tomorrow to be able to witness myself how Del Sol polish would actually change under the sun. I just hope i'll be able to fall asleep..LOL!

Hope that you are enjoying what's left of your weekend!
Have a great day/evening!

ps:
for pinays out there who want to buy OPI, Del Sol, Color Club, LA Girl, China Glaze polishes, Konad nail stamp plates, stencils, fimos, etc, feel free to drop Annie a message. She even have the OPI Shatter!

Bonding with your BFF is always fun!

I'm not really big on blogger events but yesterday, i decided to attend one together with my friend. It was a great affair that gave me a chance to be able to meet some bloggers. It was an event by Clean & Clear for the launching of their facebook application.

It was a pretty fun event.

It was held at T.G.I. Fridays at SM Mall of Asia. We arrived there at around 11:45 & we only had to wait for a couple of minutes before it started.

Camwhoring while waiting...hehehe

Then it started... they told us about their current FB application which is actually pretty nifty. You ought to try it. You can make a scrapbook of you & your BFFs activity which could actually give you a chance to win big prizes! That's why i encourage you to click the 1st pic of this post & join Clean & Clear Philippines.

Nica of Clean & Clear Philippines is explaining about how our best friends share a big part of our life...which is entirely true,ne?

Then more info about their FB application.

So, the main event for us bloggers is that we will be given 2 hours to complete 8 tasks then upload it on their application. It is like a contest of sort for the winneing pair will get to receive IPADs. Isn't that nice?

Before they let us off, they served us lunch first..

Then we're off!
Honestly, i think 2 hours is such a short time to complete 8 tasks, but we're up for the challenge!

So, Kite & I were completely clueless as to how we would accomplish it. We just decided to do whatever we want to do & let things take place.

We were just strolling around the mall while talking about random things & taking pictures of things that interests us... like this one for example..

What do you think is this?
......
take a guess!
.....
an aquarium full of spongebob shells?
not exactly..
.....

Those are actually hermit crabs!
Yep!

The shells of the hermit crabs had designs like Spongebob or even Dora the Explorer!

How's that for a pet?

You can already feel the Christmas spirit in the mall for you can already see Christmas decorations being sold at almost everywhere!

At the heart of MOA Entertainment building...

I'm excited for Christmas!

Strolling with your girlfriend is fun because it doesn't matter how silly you become~

Darth Vader & Afro-dite..hehehe
Kite calls herself afro-dite because of her hair..hehe

I suggested that we try going to arcade together since we haven't done it yet.

We enjoyed playing at the Go Go Ball machine where you have to throw the balls with all your might at the screen to kill mosquitoes, aliens, wake children, etc,... hehehe I love this game for it is a really good stress buster!

Taking pictures at Timezone is prohibited but since we're hard headed we managed to sneak out my camera for a quick shot.. thank goodness for the timer option! Is it obvious that i am having so much fun?!

Trying my luck out at the UFO Catcher....

Well, my luck had already ran out.. hehe... i came up with nothing!

I think i threw my luck away when i was so busy throwing balls at the Gogo Balls Machine! XD

We didn't notice the time & we only had an hour left... ekkk!
I just said that we ought to get our nails done so we went to Beauty & Butter.

Their salon looks so cute with a good combination of colors! I don't think i can use relaxing to describe their salon, but it is indeed refreshing compare to the usual salons that opts for neutral colors. I think i rather like it here!

All pampered & comfy while getting our nails done! Since i am used to having nail arts, i just let Kite choose the design for both of us...

Their nail technicians are really friendly & very gentle too.

This is the design that Kite choose for us...

I have to admit that this one is hard because of all the colors that are in there. That's why it took an hour & a half to get it done!

We didn't have enough time to finish the tasks for it was already the call time so we hurried to T.G.I Fridays to complete it. It's supposed to be uploaded to their FB application but since we can't connect to their Wifi, they just told us to put it in a document with captions detailing how we spent our time...

I met Sis Sol of Digital Traincase while she is also busy compiling their pictures together with her BFF Ria (did i get it right?). I got excited that i greet her with a peck on the cheek even though i haven't even introduced myself yet...hehe

Gomen nasai, Sis Sol.
My excitement took the better part of my manners yesterday.

Bloggers all gathered together while we await for the result.

The winner was announced but i wasn't able to take a picture of them since people flocked them already & i was in the far part of the room. I wasn't even able to catch their names. Congratulations to the winners!
^_^

Last picture of the day~!

Was so happy i was grinning like a fool..hehe...but it doesn't matter! That's a part of my arm on the right side of the pic for i have to get rid of Kite's hair blocking my face. XD

I remember what Nica of Clean & Clear Philippines said about best friends... Our best friends is a part of our life, we share almost everything with them. I'm so happy that i was able to find good friends in my life. I'm so thankful to God for giving me wonderful people that are always there to share my life's ups & downs.

Whose hand is who?
It doesn't matter.. for this is what we call friendship~

Well, that's how it went with my Saturday event...
It was a fun experience being able to do things together with Kite for i love bonding with my GFs.

I did a little bit of hauling but i'll just do a separate post about it at my next post & i'm about to announce the winner for my giveaway too most probably tomorrow!

Hope y'all have a great day!
Jaa~

PS:
Make sure that you join the Clean & Clear Philippines page & make your own scrapbook for you can have the chance to win their contest. BIG PRIZES awaits the lucky pair!

Rockwell Bazaar event

As i said on my facebook, i was bullied by my friends to attend the Bazaar in the Rockwell Tent. I seriously don't have any plans to attend though but i was not given a choice..it's either to go or go...i said i'd choose OR...hehehe

Anyway, I had a bad start for my day for i woke up late, traffic was insane for i didn't know that the road is being repair from where i'm living, i rode the wrong jeepney, got lost & have to walk under the scorching sun just to be able to get to the train.

*sigh*
Not a good start for my first bazaar, huh?

While i was walking, i was really contemplating whether im going to attend or not but because i was thinking of really checking out the Dollface Palettes for Sis September & i don't want to let her down so i did & after being late for 1 1/2 hour i was finally able to meet with my friend.

Now, on to the bazaar...

It was a hot day but there were a lot of people!

This is how it looked like inside...

Ah! Finally! An air-conditioned room!

I thought that i would die because of the heat outside. The registration fee is Php100 on which you are entitled to a raffle stub & a free eco shopping bag.

There are not a lot of beauty products there, most are accessories, shoes & dresses. I took pics of the beauty products that are being sold there so that you guys would know what to expect if you plan to drop by tomorrow.

I was seriously contemplating whether i'm going to buy the Emu Oil, but in the end decided not to because if i do buy it i have to start using it asap. I want to give my face more time to recuperate before i doing a different regimen again.

The lady here was so nice & gave me warm smiles even though i asked a lot of questions..hehe. Sadly, i'm not much of body cream/lotion user...

I already have the 88 palette so i'm not interested in buying any palettes from them, but the brushes are nice! They offer the same price with their online shop.

They offer body moisturizers, which they call as Whipped Cream & all of them smells utterly YU-MEE!

Look at all the 'flavors' that they offer! Dark Chocolate Mint, Strawberry Parfait, etc. How about a White Chocolate Mousse?

Again, im not a lotion user so i'm not that interested in it but their scents are just to die for. I mean, seriously! If you put yourself in a dessert-free mode, this would be a better alternative..let your nose take all the calories they can get, guilt-free! LOL!

I know that they only offer dresses for pregnant women but you know with me, being a plus-size lady, i also check out the Maternity dresses for sometimes i can find good dresses there that fits me. I did a serious inspection of their goods & believe me, they are the same quality with those you can find in boutiques!

They only have a few selections for (if i remember it right) the sweet lady told me that their stocks will just be coming in. Actually, the first thing that i notice was the brush set!

Oh,and i notice this mirror. I think it looks cute,ne?
Look at the different designs they have.. I'm sure there's one there that would suit your style.

Sadly, i did not bought anything for nothing really caught my interest except for the Emu Oil, on which i just decided to pass up for the meantime but i will definitely buy it in the future.

When we went out, i saw this stall that offers vegetable & fruit juice.. Yep, vegetable & fruit! How healthy!

They have 4 flavors to choose from...

You choose your flavor & they will make it for you with you really seeing all the vegetables they are including in. They offer a free taste so feel free to try it first. Oh, & everything is organic.

I ordered a medium-sized Hella Green flavor, which is consist of Lettuce, coconut, mango & banana. You know what, i did not feel the craving for food for like the whole time that my friends & i were strolling the Powerplant Mall!

We keep on walking for like 2 hours before we decide to go in a cafe to have coffee. I was hungry, but not the kind that would really make you feel like ordering up a whole plate of Rib Eye Steak with 2 cups of rice & whole assortment of side dishes. I just ordered a watermelon shake to satisfy my hunger pangs & i lasted the whole evening! If i get the chance to try this again, i definitely will try it again!

I still have the stamp mark on as i'm actually making this post.

*sigh*
It was a very tiring but fun day for me.

Goodness! Oily-face alert! hahaha
Hanging out with girlfriends are fun,ne?

How's your Saturday?

Hope you are having an enjoyable day/evening!

Jaa ne~!

Believe in B.liv's Dump Off Drawn! I do!

I was contacted by B.liv weeks ago to try out their products. I have been so lazy in applying any skin care products lately that I can alrea...
