Weekend Nails: brightly toned down...

It's weekend again...time for my nails to go on style...

If i can't wear makeup..(i made a promise not to wear makeup for at least 2 weeks to give my skin time to recuperate) ...then at least my nails should be stylish, right?

After the 'loud' nail arts that i've been doing lately, i wanted a 'toned down' look for this weekend...but the same time something that won't look too boring...

So i just decided to do a simple look...

I bought rhinestones for my nails but i don't think i like using it...at least not yet...
i don't like the feeling of something sticking out of my nails...im clumsy & often my nails get tangled with fabrics..& i fear that the rhinestones is just the same...

I know its all in the mind, but hey...i tried putting something on my nails...if you can just see those little yellow hearts at the edge of the nail...It's not very obvious but when my nails hit the lights, it reflects a little of the light so there...

Do i still need to do a tut on this one?
Nope, but i'll still put one to make this post long..haha

  • As always, start with clean nails...apply base coat & the base color...which in this case is yellow...

  • Let it dry completely before you top it with another color...I choose red...i think primary color is hot! Just paint half of your nails like so...

  • No need to worry if its not evenly applied or what... see this pic? look at the arrows...

  • It's not evenly applied..but who cares...because you are going to put a white polish to where the colors meet. I do this just to keep everything clean...But if you were able to apply it perfectly then its ok to not put white....

After this...you can put rhinestones if you want....
Your choice...you can put it on the white line, just to accentuate the line...Or you can also put red stones on the yellow part of the nail...& vice versa...it's up for you to spice things up...but for me, im fine with this...

I just put the yellow hearts just because the ends of the colors doesn't look good at the edge so the hearts just acts as a cover so that you would not see the 'dirty' edge..hehe

Since this is easy, my toenails also dons this look...
how cute!

Actually last Thursday i was suppose to have a 'manicure session' with my bff, but she got tangled up in lots of things so we weren't able to do so, but prior to that i already made some 'arts' that we would be trying...& this is what i came up with...

For those who follow my nail post, you know how i do dots with dotting tools, right? So this one doesn't need any tut at all..

What do you think?

Happy weekend,everybody!
