~how to make an aspirin mask~

I already made a post about Aspirin Mask before...you can just check it HERE.
This is a nice remedy when you feel a bump on your skin & you ran out of tea tree oil...

This would just be a follow up of that post...
I have had this pics for a couple of months & i've been meaning to make a how-to post about aspirin mask but keeps on forgetting. Since im about to clean my folders, i decided its high time to make it.. I suggest you click the link (at the top) if you don't know about aspirin mask so that you would have an idea how it works & what's it for...

Main ingredient is the Aspirin, of course...You can buy it at drugstores....One bottle of Aspirin like this is cheap.. it just cost Php 55 (approx $1.25)..& it got 100 tablets...

  • Prepare it by taking a couple of Aspirins & putting it in a dish...
in my case i use 7...
  • Then put a few drops of water on it....
You will notice that the tablets are immediately dissolved....
  • Since i have tea tree oil with me, so i added a couple of drops...
Like 3 drops... I suggest you add something to this because if you don't you will end up sneezing right after its dry because flakes of aspirin will fall off & will end up in you taking it in. You can put honey or some essential oils of your choice just so that it won't end up very flaky when it dries

  • Then mix them together then apply it on your face...
Wait until 10-20 mins before you rinse it. When you rinse it you can gently scrub your face, with the aspirin grains to exfoliate dead skin cells...

Tomorrow is mum's birthday...

I've been a bit busy the past couple of days trying to get ready for the small party. I already gave my gift to mum days ago..it's a bag...& i am the one in charged to the souvenir items that we are going to give away for the guests...

I'll show you the pics tomorrow...& i think im gonna be doing my mum's makeup tomorrow too..

Anyways, this post is about my nails..a while ago while i was just watching tv, i decided to put on polish since this is a special occasion. As what i said, i only put polish during weekends..except for special events such as this...

As i was faced with my nail polish collection, i just got lost into deciding what look im going after... I saw the pink polish sitting at the end of my box & decided that i am going to sport pink nails for tomorrow.

Well, here is what i did
This is actually pretty easy...i'll do a tutorial some day..
I just forgot to take pictures the time that i did this....

Well, tomorrow is gonna be a busy day for me & my mum!
Hope y'all have a great day/evening!

Jaa~!

yeah..i was surprised too that its just cheap
though i guess most filipinos use paracetamol instead of aspirin when it comes to headaches
maybe thats why this is cheap

Hi! Where did you buy that one bottle of aspirin? Watsons, Mercury Drug, or where? And another thing, does that aspirin mask shrink large pores and eliminate blackheads? Becoz I have those effing two. Boo me. But TIA!

Anonymous said...

Err, you didn't answer my question. :(

Jem said...

@ anonymous
im so sorry for not being able to answer your questions asap.
i suggest you buy it at watson...it's cheaper..believe me!
a bottle only cost like Php60...i inquired at mercury drug & it's way more expensive!i just don't know if she understood what i told her...but then approximately, the smallest bottle is under Php100..
as for shrinking large pores..hmm..i don't think so. Since it's more of a "medicated exfoliator", it can remove blackheads if you scrub it while you are rinsing it.

I also have large pores..as in LARGE ones...ekkk!!>_<
i suggest that you close your pores up by running ice all over your face before you put makeup. Just put the ice on a towel so that it won't shock your skin.
Then for blackheads..i suggest you do the egg white mask with the towel,of course!

Anonymous said...

I've asked all drugstores here in bats city, and they always give me the small yellow tablet ones! Argh. They say they don't have the uncoated and those on bottles.

Thanks for the reply. I'm sure gonna try that ice regimen, I'm so sick of my large visible pores that get all clogged up, some appearing as awful blackheads. And yeah, that egg mask, too.

Thanks again! :)

Jem said...

@ anonymous
don't try the 'aspilet'
i tried buying it & believe me, you don't want to have a yellow face because the color sticks to the skin.

blackhead is one of my major problem too (aside from oily/sensitive skin & large pores..*sigh*) i suggest you try to have a deep cleansing mask once a week. Try a clay mask. It really draws out the dirt & oils on your face!
^_~

thanks for visiting my blog,hun

Anonymous said...

OMG yes, that's the aspilet that they always give me! They would always go, "Ma'am alin pong aspirin, yung pambata o sa matanda?" If they only knew I'm not really going to drink it.

I was wondering what I am supposed to say for them to give me the aspirin I'd been looking for. May I ask you the brand of that bottle of aspirin you bought, and what did you say to the person over at the pharmacy regarding that med you were looking for and about to buy then?

I've been wanting to try clay masks, too. I'm eyeing for that Aztec Secret Indian Clay and Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque. I will be waiting for your review on the latter. :)

Thanks a bunch for your replies! By the way, I'm a regular reader of your blog. ;)

Jem said...

lol!
natawa naman dun
hahaha

just tell then you want the generic aspirin...
yung RHEA na nasa bote.gaya ng sa akin.
i think when you go to mercury drug, yung may convenience store, often times they have a part where the generic & over the counter meds are available. try looking for the aspirin.

if you're gonna buy it over the counter naman & they asked the mg, just tell them that you want the 325mg. if wala ka talaga mabilhan give me a shout out on my email (thiamere_brea at yahoo dot com)..chika tayo

thanks for always dropping by my blog ha.
