Splurge & Save - August

I totally missed out July's Splurge & Save corner, but i won't miss August...

Now these are the products that i have found..some of it i have tried already...some not yet, but will try it sometime in the future...

For Gel Liners:

Splurge: Stila Smudge Pots

-This unique gel eyeliner and shadow is an innovative alternative to traditional powder and liquid formulas.
-$20
-pros: cute packaging
-cons: expensive

Save: CS Gel Liners

-a long lasting liner that can easily become anyone's favorite
-$6
-pros: have lots of shade selection
-cons:can only be ordered online

We know that Coastal Scents have cheap but quality products, & what made them popular aside from their palette is their gel liners. It's at par with the high end brands. How cool!

Though as for all gel liner goes, make sure that you keep the cap tight for it could dry out your liner.

For tinted lip pots:

Splurge: Stila Lip Pots Tinted Lip Balm
-Has been compared to MAC Tendertone, provides a moisturizing effect with just a 'barely there' look
-$17
-pros: cute packaging
-cons: only have several shades

Save: Ellana Moisturizing Lip Color
-provides moisture, at the same time giving you a lovely color
-$3.15
-pros: dirt cheap
-cons: might not be available internationally

There are a lot of Lip Pots available in the market today, but Ellana lip color is the only one that i found that acts as a moisturizer/lip color in one. Everybody swears by that MAC Tendertone is the best when it comes to lip moisturizer...Stila is a good alternative for it, but so is Ellana Lip Color!

For those who have access to this, make sure that you grab one yourself! Im sure you'll love it!

For Concealer Palette

Splurge: Sonia Kashuk Hidden Agenda Concealer Palette

-3 shades of concealer with a setting powder in one sleek palette
-$11
-pros: texture is very easy to blend at the same time providing you the cover up that you really need.
-cons: hard to find (i think its just available on Target)

Save: ELF Correcting Concealer Palette
- all 4 shades that you would need to cover up any imperfections!
-$ 3.50
-pros: creamy & very easy to blend with
-cons: might cause creasing because of its creaminess

I can't believe im comparing Sonia Kashuk to ELF.

For those looking for a concealer palette, then you can try ELF. With a very budget-friendly price, this would just be something that you can get for yourself if you are tired of bringing lots of concealers with you.

See you on the next Splurge & Save post!

Jaa ne~!

Haha. I've been thinking about getting the CS liners actually. I wish that they'd sell them in stores. And for dried out gel liners, do you know if you can revive them with a drop of visine?
