Skin White Face Cream Powder Review

A cream to powder product that promises to whiten the skin in as fast as 7 days...
hmmm..this we got to see...

That is the Skin White promise...

Actually i don't wanna whiten my face as im having a hard time matching my facial skin to the rest of my body. As much as possible i try to avoid whitening products which is a bit hard to since here in the Philippines most of the facial products sold are leaning towards whitening the skin asap... & so is this product....

In here being white is hot, whereas in some countries they prefer to be tanned ~ ironic, ain't it?

Ill not go into details of what it is supposed to do, ill just let you take a look at the back of it (just click it to make it large)
I like the packaging.
With it being in a squeeze tube which makes it hygienic...so you can toss this in your bag & not worry if a friend is gonna use it, passing bacteria to each other..lol

This product have 2 shades available which is the White (which im guessing is really just like a white powder) & the Light Beige ( as what you can see i choose the light beige).

And this is how the light beige looked like...

whoops...i squeezed a lot...
then i have to spread it out of course so that you will see it...

There you go....
You can see that it does provide some coverage...

& this time ill put it on my face...
make it half of my face so that you would be able to see if there is any difference at all...
are you ready?

*warning*
you'll see my pic with blemishes & all...
.
.
.
.
stop scrolling if you don't wanna be doomed for the rest of your week
(just week because its already weekend..lol)
.
.
.
.
aren't you a naughty girl?...still want to see even if you have been warned....
.
.
.
.
.................
.
.
.
.
ok..you asked for it!
.
.
.
.
for the last time...
stop scrolling!
.
.
.
.
*sigh*
.
.
.
.
ok..here goes...

I just applied on my right face...
of course i have to strike a pose! XD

Then i spread it out....

I already labeled it so that you can just see for yourself if there's any difference at all...

What i like about it is:
  • great packaging
  • affordable...actually i can say that its dirt cheap!
  • small enough to fit in your tote bag
  • you don't need to use a lot of it, just a small amount is enough
  • provides a smooth finish
What i don't like about it is:
  • the scent is somewhat very powdery (a bit overpowering) when you squeezed it out but will fade afterwards (or i guess i just got used to it since its on my face already)
  • its supposed to be light but for some reason i feel like its clogging my pores & my skin can't breath...weird..(maybe its because im not used to cream stuff
Ill leave the whitening blah blah for now since i don't want to whiten my face for the moment...
ill just save it if there would be an occasion that i would need it...& if that happens i'll see for myself if it really can whiten in as fast as 7 days...

And with that..i'll just leave the last say to you....

For now, ima go & watch Survivor now...

Jaa!

~today is grocery day~

Yep...today is my grocery day. I just need to make sure that my stocks are full.

Anyways, sorry if im not able to post for a couple of days...the days have been hectic plus im starting to be involved in badminton again... (the need to workout is so great now...for i already have a double chin...yikkeess!!!!!)

That's why my posts are MIA...& im not even able to enter contests because of it anymore... but then again..its better to workout first

And i've been thinking & thinking on what would be a good career move. As what i said before, i lost my job a month or two ago & until now im contemplating if im gonna go work as office-based or home-based. I've been working homebased for 2 years & i would like to do an office based job now but i still have some students that i just can;t leave because i really love them & they're just so sweet & cute (my youngest students are 4 & 3yrs olds) ... *sigh* ... though i can find some companies who still needs homebased teachers...but then again... *sigh*

Anyways, back to what i was saying...went to the grocery to buy some basic needs & a couple of skin care stuff....

The baby bath is for cleaning my brushes...

wet wipes to help take my makeup off...

i read on Nikki's post about the Rexona Skin Light (with Sunflower oil) so i said that ill give this a shot since i think through plucking my skin is becoming 'chicken-skinned'..figured this might help (plus i saw that it got a free lotion sample...who can resist free, neh?)

then i saw the Ever Bilena Eyeliner & i said to myself ill try it too after reading Nikki's blog again that it's a good buy. (make sure you read this post to save money :D )

the mini Aloe Vera wet wipes would be for my kikay kit

with me being a happy & satisfied Nivea user, i will never ever forget to include it

Cetaphil Cleanser for removing my makeup

Skin White Cream Powder - i saw the advertisement but am not enticed to get it by that, but since its cheap so i said ill give this a try...ill make a post about it after a couple of days...

Then of course the Clean & Clear Deep Action Refreshing Cleanser...i've been a Clean & Clear user ever since & of all the Clean & Clear facial wash that i've tried this is my favorite because of the scent & it leaves a cool refreshing feeling too...

I will be writing a couple of posts about Cetaphil, EB eyeliner, Skin White Cream Powder & Nivea Creme after a couple of days...

Jaa Nee!

Ecotools 6pc Brush Set Review

The last time i did a brush review it was the Ecotools foundation brush, now its gonna be the 6pc brush set. After a couple of weeks with me, i can give my opinion on this one already.

This had been a nice addition to my kikay kit. Instead of the eye makeup brushes inside the earphone holder (lol), this one had taken its place & i must say that i like it.

Let's get to it one by one:

1. Foundation brush - not included in the kit, but i just want to give an update on it.
-I was able to wash off the oily residue on the bristles & i think its almost back to its original state...though not that much.. there's still some left. Up to date, i have washed it 7 times (7 frickin times!) & its still a tad bit oily...I can use it now...though i just don't want to. I guess its really just with synthetic brushes that's like that, but if you're gonna ask me if im gonna buy it again...ill readily answer no...

I dont want to experience washing brushes over & over just to remove the oily residues..

2. Blush Brush
-I freakin' love this brush! It's soft yet firm that makes the application of blush a breeze. May it be a loose blush powder or pressed powder, it gives me an even application. I have tried a couple of cheap brushes & i always end up looking like a drag. I love the fact that it got long handle which enables me to control the pressure that im gonna use. I can just make a light sweeping motion by holding it at the edge or a circular application on the apples of my cheeks when i hold it on the ferrule. This is the ultimate brush on this set... i love it!

Maybe ill just buy the individual brush if ever i need a blush brush.
If you don't have this yet....get the blush brush!

3. Eyeshadow Brush
-I think there's nothing special about it. It applies like the rest of ordinary eyeshadow brush. Ok, i make it sound like i hate it..not exactly. In fact what's good about it is that its thin enough to hold pigments & fluffy enough to hold pressed shadows... That's confusing, huh? thin but fluffy..lol

It's just that i was used to ELF Eyehadow brush & i prefer it in applying pressed shadows. I have less fallout (since its fluffy) compare to super thin nylon brushes. Whereas for the Ecotools eyeshadow brush, i can pick it up, but there's some fallout so that's why im not in awe of this. But then again...it serves 2 purpose.

4. Angled Brush
-I like this brush too! It's thin enough to use as a liner brush & eyebrow groomer. Though i think this is better suited for just setting the liner. I have tried using it on a gel liner...but since its synthetic, i find that its too soft to be able to give me a smooth thin line plus the gel just sorta go to waste when it clumps at the mid part whenever i try to. I prefer nylon bristles in using gel liners. But since i use this to set my line & to groom my brows so i like this one a lot!

5. Concealer Brush
-I think this is also a good brush. Again, same wit the eyeshadow brush, thick enough to apply loose concealers. I have tried to apply a cream concealer using this brush & its just ok. I actually prefer my ol' artist brush in applying cream concealer better for it holds it better. If i use my artist brush it bunches together making the application easier because there is no single bristle 'flying away' from the group & im able to save a lot of product by that.

Whereas for this, when i tried to apply cream ones, it will form little clusters of bristles. I feel like i am wasting a lot of product if im gonna use this to apply cream ones..But since i only carry mineral cosmetics with me so im happy with it...

6. Lash Comb
-Nothing special about this one...in fact i dont like it. I hate the bristles...it's too rough. I can't even use it to groom my brows because i feel like its gonna scratch my skin if i do so. The lash comb is ok though...works like normal lash combs out there...

As for the brush roll, i was able to get it to roll without the edges bunching up. I just toss it on the washer & iron it when its dry. I just hate it when it bunches up at the edge when i try to roll it.

I wash the brush roll everytime i wash the brushes too. I don't want the clean brushes lying inside a dirty case. So good thing that this is washable because i can just put it on the washer.

Overall, i like the set. For the price that i paid for, no major complaints.
I also like how handy it is, its small enough to bring it with you & its already complete...from eye to cheeks! Though i think this will be even better if it have a lip brush,ne?

my 'simple life' experience (part 2)

Continuing from my last post...

I forgot to include this on my last post....Wanna know what it is?

Just click it to read the caption....

I mentioned something about the kuliglig....if you're curious..just click it...
its a farm machine that is used for transportation too...
I wasn't able to take a pic of it so i just tried looking for it on the web...

Ill leave the house & go straight to the beach...
It's a vacation..so we have to go swimming...
& swimming we went!We went to Binmaley, Pangasinan to take a dip...on the beach,of course!

The waves are in full swing & we had such a great time...No pics because i had so much fun i forgot to take the before & after of the beach party..

Time to go home... :(

But i just have to take one last pic...don't wanna miss out the sunset...im thinking of doing a graphite sketch of it..but i didn't do justice on how it really looks like...

& that's my vacation...

Just like what i said on my last post..i'll include the pic of the cotton 'fruit' that i picked...

I picked this for the mere purpose of having a souvenir...

but when i opened it...

& touched it....
It's so soft that i can't help but....

open it...remove the seeds to make a mini pillow as my souvenir...

So ill be busy for the next couple of days sewing a pillow...this will put my sewing skills to the test...lol!

This cotton is not the type for hospital, facial use..but this is more of the cotton that we used for pillows...

& that's how my vacation went!

my 'simple life' experience (part 1)

After being gone for a couple of days, im now back all fresh & tan from my vacation...
I'll share my experience with you, so this is not a beauty-related post...

Kilometers away from the city, I went to visit my bf's hometown because its their town's fiesta. i dont have the pic of the whole event, so ill just share my experience..

Being a city girl, i never had the experience of staying in a secluded town where there are no convenience stores, no diners, no chemist, no means of transportation (there's not even a jeepney in sight!, only tricycles & 'kuliglig'), no faucet, etc... So it was a very different experience for me... im not saying that i actually had a blast (after depriving myself with the basic needs that i consider..lol!) but it was nice soothing & life-changing experience for me...

Staying on a place where you are not dictated by time is surely something that we always wanted. Not worrying about what time you need to go wake up so to not be late, not thinking about the traffic which will consume your precious minutes...

ok...enough with the serious meditation-like speech..lol

The place where i went to is somewhere in Pangasinan, Philippines. It's 4 hrs away from Manila. Im not familiar with the route but we rode a bus, get off at Mangatarem (i think its like the town proper), then ride the tricycle to get to Urbiztondo...

Lemme start with the house which i stayed at for the whole 4 days...This is the house of my bf's aunt. We stayed there the whole time. It looks just like a typical filipino town-house..lol

I like how homey it is. Not a single of trace of modernism, but every trace of traditional, simple house full of love...

This is sort of like a small place where you can rest, its in the front of the house. I like how relaxing it is, with the yellow bell flowers above it to serve as a shed, its windy & cool.

Being a typical house in the province, their main form of living is farming, so they have a few animals roaming on their backyard....just like these ducks...this is the cow stall...
they do have cows but since the sun is already up so they are already grazing on the farm..

They do have chickens & dogs...but since i forgot to take a pic of that....ill leave that..lol

Aside from the animals, they have a couple of fruit trees...some are just falling on the ground!bananas, anyone?
Then..its time for the wide land area called 'farm'..lol...
I asked bf to accompany me so i wont risk getting lost...
Then a few steps away from the house, you can get to the farm...
I think they just harvested corn that's why there are lots of dried corn stalks on the ground.

As we were walking, i saw some cotton on the ground & i asked bf where they came from & he pointed the tree above us!

Sorry if it looks dark..ill show you how it looks like later...
He have to throw rocks on it so to get some. I must admit, he got some skills..after 2 attempts he hit one & i picked it up..

Then on the farm, i saw a mama & baby cow...
They are both 'eating'...mama is grazing while baby is drinking milk!

After all of the excitement, its time to go back 'home'....on the way home, we passed by a house on which im sure is very different from the houses on other countries, that we can say is "only in the philippines"

This is what we call as a "Bahay Kubo" or Nipa Hut - house made from nipa, bamboo, etc.

Aunt Digna's house is also made of Nipa but some of the walls are made from cement..its just that i think this house is so very filipino-like so i can't resist taking a pic...there's even a man sitting on the corner...lol

to be continued.....

Pawprint Nails

I was browsing Youtube before for some nail arts a couple of weeks ago & i came across Mayparis' channel & i saw her doing a pawprint inspired nails. She even have a zebra print nails too!...wow!...& i just did a zebra nails weeks ago too...cool!She said that it can be good for short nails...& since i chipped my nails last week so i just had to cut them...

I am gonna go on a vacation (as if i had not been telling you over & over..lol) & i would still want my nails to look at its best even if its short. Then i remembered the pawprint nails & decided that i would want to try that.

So that's what i did & here it is: (the pic look dark..just click it to see it in a larger image)I tried to take a picture of both of my hands & i asked my mom to, but it came out blurry...& we had to even do it 3x..but it's still the same...guess her hands are shaky..lol

This is very far from being 'clean'. I guess if you look at it from afar it would look pretty...but up close...not exactly...I did not use toothpick in doing the design, but i just used an artist brush..the small one.

Although my left hand look a lot better than my right one..(im right handed)...so i am able to draw the design better using my dominant hand rather than the other..but then..im pleased with how it came..i might say that it looks cute...

She also has a blogsite on which you'll be able to see some of her nails up close...visit her here

ps:
ill be back after a couple of days...hope y'all have a nice day & a great weekend!

Package from LaBelleMel

I can't believe it when i finally got the notification card that i got from the post office yesterday. It means that the prizes that i won from Mel is already near my grasp...

My first prize ever.... *sniff*
For the whole 24yrs of being alive this is the first time that i've won anything T_T

Im serious!
I've never won anything on my life..not even in cake raffles or classroom contests or whatever so im really so shocked that i won something.. *sniff*

Im so gonna keep the package & everything that Mel sent me. I dont think im even gonna use it because it means a lot to me...

These are the contents of the package:
  • Escada Ocean Lounge Eau de Toilette sample
  • Jurique Herbal Recovery Gel
  • Caudalie Creme ContourYeux et Levres
  • Meiji Meltyblend (yum!i already ate it!of course!)
This is first time that i have ever sniffed Escada...actually im a Lacoste fan when it comes to fragrances & have never tried Escada yet. When i opened the bottle, i was enveloped in a sweet smelling fragrance that reminded me a lot of flowers & candies. So i guess for people who loves sweet perfumes you have to give this a shot.

Thanks a lot,Mel!
I'll be cherishing all of this!

Believe in B.liv's Dump Off Drawn! I do!

I was contacted by B.liv weeks ago to try out their products. I have been so lazy in applying any skin care products lately that I can alrea...
