Weekend Nails: Jagged-esque nails

I have been in the house for the past 2 weeks. I wasn't able to get out because i have a lot of things to do & everything. I have been going out of my mind with boredom & this is the effect of it.

It's perfect for it is exactly how the state of my mind is... all rowdy & jagged. I have been neglecting my hands & nails for it looks all dry & flaky. *sigh* So im saying in advanced that my cuticle looks horrible. I seem to have misplaced my Lush Lemony Flutter.

This needs a steady hand for it's hard to draw the lines if your hands are shaky.. believe me..my right hand looks awful! (-__-')

Well, let's start the tutorial.

Choose your base color. Actually this design is cuter if you will use different colors, but just so that you'll be able to see everything clearly, i just choose white.

Isn't this design better-looking if you use different colors? Since my nails are short, i just opted for 2 tones.

Now, I use 2 brushes when i did this design. One is for applying the strips, on which i use the brush 1/0 & the small lines on which i use brush 000.

Apply stripes on the nails like so... If you plan to use different colors, then apply the darker colors below going lighter at the top for a gradient-y effect.

Let it dry. Afterward, it's time to start praying that your hands are steady enough to draw small lines.hehe

Dip your smallest brush on a glop of polish, start with the lighter color first.

Then draw fine lines like so. Just lightly drag your brush downward.

Afterward, it's time to do the same with the other colors!

This might be hard but it is well worth your time for this design is the type that will really call attention.

Well, there ya go!
Have a great weekend, mina-san!

Jaa~!
