When i discovered that Carla has her own brushes & saw that she has a blending brush, i jumped out of excitement & texted her right away that i want it. She can testify how excited i was that i forgot to even include my name...haha! I'm so excited that i head on over to Globe to avail of the GCash service on that same day!
I got this the next day. w00t w00t! Talking about fast service. Thanks, Carla!
I've wanted the MAC 224 & 217 ever since when. 224 for blending.... 217 for a more precise blending. So, if im going to compare this to a MAC blending brush, it would be with 224.
I don't have a 224 so what i'm writing is mostly based on what i know, observations, reviews & videos that i watched. So don't go saying i don't know what i'm saying because i have spent years watching gurus & reading posts. Might not be enough, but i did my best. I'm not a brush expert, ok? Let's start the ball rolling!
Having trouble achieving a smokey look?
Not anymore!
This baby will be your best friend...forever!
Presenting the Bedazz blending brush:
Essential for any eye make-up application and responsible for taking out harsh lines created by eye shadows, giving you gradient perfect blending every time.If you are wondering how big this is:
The Bedazz Blending brush is made of SPECIAL GRADE GOAT HAIR.
Bristles 1/2 an inch.

(description & pic taken from the website)
As what the description says, it is made of white goat hair which makes it perfect for blending since it's soft yet firm enough to blend the colors, mind you it's not scratchy when i said that it's firm enough to do the job.
A blending brush is a blending brush. You use it to blend colors on your crease (not best for those that got a small lid space), hence some call it as a blending/crease brush. You can also use a blending brush to apply a soft wash of color, unlike using an eyeshadow brush that is mostly used for packing colors.
When i say that it's for crease, this is applicable to those that got deep-set eyes & uses a crease brush to emphasize it.
MAC 224 is tapered so it's good for creating a soft sheer crease, unlike the Bedazz Blending brush that has more of a rounded top. It's great for blending out colors, but not if you are opting for a more precise crease. Based on what i remember, 224's bristles are longer & wider than this.
Bedazz blending brush is a great tool for doing an over-all blended look. Perfect for giving a soft wash of color. With just a few windshield-wiper motion, everything's all blended out beautifully. I have a small lid space but i find this easy to use. I just have to be a bit careful especially if i am using a dark color over a light colored lid because it might also blend.
Sorry if you can see my blemishes since i did not bother to conceal it. Actually i just half of my face here. Only used pressed powder, blush & lipstick.
Would you believe me if i say that it only took me a minute at most to do this one? Mostly, i take like at least 5 minutes to achieve a well-blended look. But with a good blending brush, it will make everything easier for you. Why do you think pros always say to invest in good brushes? because it makes everything look neat & professional!
So, do i like this brush?
Yes,i do!
What's not to like about it?
- Cheap - it's only Php300 or $6...It's a steal,ladies. Nothing to lose!
- Available locally & yes, Carla ships internationally too! w00t! w00t!
- Good quality - cuts my regular eye make-up time in 3/4
- Minimal shedding - just 1 hair
- Doesn't have a funky smell - make sure you wash it good
- Handle is long & looks professional - for optimum control
No, the Bedazz Blending Brush is already enough for me. I'm very happy with this!
Will i buy the 217?
Maybe no, maybe yes... If i am already lusting for a precise blending tool, then i might buy it, but for now, Bedazz Blending brush fits my needs.
For those who are looking for a good blending brush but is not willing to spend that much with a single brush, then grab this. I'm sure you won't regret it as with good TLC, this can last you a lifetime. With just $6 to lose?! Come on!
You can visit Carla's website for more info & other brushes that she has.
Hope this review helped you!
