Fruits have a lot of fiber in it compared to fruit juices, so it will take longer to digest and be a slower rise in blood glucose levels.

http://www.diabetes.ca/diabetes-and-you/nutrition/just-basics/

Have a look at the Canadian Association of Diabetes and you can learn a lot. They actually do recommend whole fresh fruits, even the ones you think are really sweet.due to the fiber. Just make sure you are eating a variety and avoid the processed foods which contain no fiber and digest really quickly, which causes a spike in blood glucose. You still need your calcium (at least 2 intakes per day - 2 cups per day), so maybe try unsweetened almond/soy milk.Anna Hohttp://prettyoptimal.blogspot.ca/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1961460579258918700.post-74808031692535345022012-11-24T09:31:58.262+08:002012-11-24T09:31:58.262+08:00i gotta learn how to drink lots of water. :Di gotta learn how to drink lots of water. :DCatherine De Torres-Mangayahttp://www.facebook.com/pusa27noreply@blogger.com
